I like the opening to your blog and am glad to have found a string to strum which you might here.
I’m in Port Alberni working on a home that my Dad and stepmom are building. Wilst painting I’ve been listening to music, particularly your CD “This Time” (today I listened to it in excess of three times which was just moving into excess).
Thinking of and appreciating you. I consider you one of the very best teachers I’ve been gifted with having taught me and better yet looked after me (and our entire difficult wounderful class (I intended it like wonder but I’m saddened to reflect that I think we wounded you sometimes)).
Your music is excellent to my 25 (oops 26 now though I have to make a point of remembering that) year old ears. I’ve found “This Time” (getting sick of caps and quotations) to be a delightful exposition of dynamically varied talent.
Please correct me if you think I need it in the following memory. I recall you telling us that with a large group of people it is best (for the earthly rooted life) to walk in single row while for a smaller group it is better to walk in a spread out fashion.
And then in relation to this I remember you expressing surprise at my resistance to this being taught. I wish to explain what I consider was the source of this resistance to something I’m glad to now be familiar with. At the time there were few areas where I felt free to do as I wished and to further have my walking choices limited was more responsibility than I was willing to bear at the time. (It just occurred to me that this is going to be a public posting! Whew… Ah well, worth it and perhaps others will gain something from it if they choose to read it)
Soooo,
I wish you well and I think you have my “unpublished” email. I’d be glad to hear back from you, in particular I’m interested in knowing the best place for you where I might buy your CD or cds (Such as the one made with Joe).
It’s great to hear that you are a mother to two kids, I can scarcely imagine how wonderful they might be and hope I meet them someday. I think that you would be one of the best possible mothers.
Hi Everyone!
Yesterday was a busy day! I had an interview with Kate at Trent Radio, and then played an evening show at The Spill. Considering it was so cold last night – I was really happy with the turn out! Thank you to all who came out – it was wonderful to see you!
After the gathering comes the scattering.
